Covid 19 – Updates and Information

As we all settle into the new ‘normal’, we’d like to make you aware of some useful sources of information and support.

Oxford City Council: The Essential Support directory is at www.oxford.gov.uk/essentialsupport and has been put together to guide residents to financial and other support they might need if they have been affected by the national lockdown. It includes links to subjects including benefits, debt, money saving tips, housing advice and mental health support.

Oxford Hub: Oxford Together is our campaign to provide support to those in need. Our volunteers are assisting people with shopping, collecting prescriptions, phone check-ins, and more. To offer your help, or to refer someone for support, visit our Oxford Together site here.

Thames Valley Police: TVP provide a wide range of information via the Thames Valley Alert service https://www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk/

NextDoor: Nextdoor is the neighbourhood hub. Nextdoor is the best way to stay informed about what’s going on in your neighbourhood—whether it’s finding a last-minute babysitter, planning a local event, or sharing safety tips. There are so many ways our neighbours can help us, we just need an easier way to connect with them. https://nextdoor.co.uk/

Holy Trinity Headington Quarry: hthq.uk has a range of information on local support, local businesses providing delivery services, as well as church services and access to the churchyard during this time

Headington Action: https://www.headingtonaction.org/ has a lot of useful information (and links to other sources of information) for the local area. This also provides details for the online Headington Market

Oxfordshire NHS: Useful information on diagnosis and access to services https://www.oxfordhealth.nhs.uk/

If you are aware of other reliable sources of information, please let us know at friendsofquarry@gmail.com.
